Dear colleagues and friends,

       Through the Return Reply of the first announcement of the seventh        SWCSNFFS, we are grateful of the genuine interest and support of the 

colleagues and friends. Up to date, we have received the support from 26 

International and domestic enterprises and chief administrative department. 

All of these encourage us a lot, so we have the confidence to organize the 

Symposium successfully.

      The theme of this symposium is “Nutrition Research and Sustainable 

Development of Feed Industry”, which will cover the following topics：

(1) Protein, amino acids and the alternative protein sources

(2) Energy/Protein rate, energy metabolism and carbohydrate; 

(3) Lipid, fatty acid and lipid replacement; 

(4) Vitamin and mineral nutrition;

(5) Nutrition of brood stock and larvae;

(6) Nutrition, health and environment;

(7) Feed processing and feeding strategy;

(8) Quality and food security;

(9) Molecular nutrition.

    Furthermore, a Forum on Technology innovation for Aquafeed 

Enterprises will be held during this symposium in which some 

famous national and international enterprise presidents, enterprise 

planner and scholars will be invited to discuss on some topics of 

aquafeed industry environment in China, R & D project management, 

product innovation methods, excellent talent training and successful 

brand establishment.

Registration:

 Online registration and abstract submission can be accepted at our website 

www.aquanutrition.net, Early and late Registration are June 30, 2008 and 

August 30, 2008, respectively. The registration fee is 800 RMB (or 110USD)

(for early registration), 1200 RMB (or 175USD) (for late registration), 

and 2000RMB (for spot registration). Registration for full-time students 

before June 30, 2008 is free. The registration fee will cover a copy of the 

Symposium Proceeding and meals and banquets, but it does not include 

expenses in accommodations and post-symposium tour.

Call for papers: 

The Symposium is calling for manuscripts on the above mentioned topics. 

Please send the manuscript (Microsoft word 97 or updated version) by email to 

xuemin@caas.net.cn or xuemin@21cn.com before 30th June, 2008. 

The manuscripts will be reviewed by the Scientific Committee and the accepted 

manuscripts will be published in a nonjournal affiliated proceedings. Furthermore,

 the Scientific Committee will recommend those manuscripts deemed excellent to 

the Journal of Fisheries. Publication in the Journal, however, will be decided by the

editor through the normal reviewing process. Formats for manuscripts should follow 

those specified by the Journal. 

Presentation methods:

1. Oral presentation: 15minutes (speaking time is 12 minutes followed by 3 minutes for questions); the invited lecture is 25-40minutes (including discussion).

2. Poster: dimensions should not exceed 90 cm (horizontal) x 120 cm (vertical).
